Impact
As Head of the Central Controlling Department, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial transparency and strategic insight by delivering accurate, timely and relevant financial analysis across BCR and its subsidiaries. You will lead a high-performing team and transform Central Controlling into a forward-looking function that enables informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
How you will contribute
- Lead and Inspire: Manage and develop a team of analysts, ensuring delivery of accurate, timely, and relevant financial analysis and performance reporting to support senior management in strategic decisions;
- Drive Financial Transparency: Analyze and correlate financial results with key performance indicators, promoting predictability and clarity;
- Strategic Reporting: Coordinate and interpret financial data, linking results to macroeconomic trends, market developments, business development and methodological aspects;
- Planning & Forecasting: Support strategic planning and directly oversee budgeting and forecasting processes for BCR and its subsidiaries, critically evaluating data and providing actionable insights on financial impacts. Work closely with other controlling departments to create a comprehensive, consolidated view of the BCR Group current financial position and expected performance in different scenarios (budget/forecast);
- Communication: Prepare and oversee reports and analyses for local / Group management, ensuring clarity and relevance. Manage documentation and provide support to relevant functions in our Group’s interactions with the external auditors, the National Bank of Romania, and investors, ensuring compliance and accuracy;
- Transform & Innovate: Evolve the Central Controlling Department to an innovation-driven, future-oriented function, acting as financial business partner of the management;
- Collaborate Across Functions: Ensure process efficiency and foster meaningful collaboration with other business units within BCR and its subsidiaries.
What will help you be successful
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field (Finance/Banking specialization preferred);
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Controlling/Management Accounting; banking experience is an advantage;
- Strong understanding of banking sector; understanding of BCR’s main products, and services is an advantage;
- Advanced analytical skills, including data analysis, database management, and reporting;
- Ability to interpret complex data, generate actionable insights, and propose effective solutions;
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills;
- Proven leadership, negotiation, and communication capabilities;
- Experience in project management and change management;
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
