How you will contribute

• Monitor critical services for Business and related IT applications, eith extended support, depending on the priorities set by the bank or the need;
• Perform initial investigations necessary for the proactive identification of remediation of incidents in early stage, based on existing documentation and instructions;
• Escalate incidents to level 2, 3 support or external support (Erste Digital), if the resolution is not successful at local technical teams level;
• Coordinate the initial investigation of major incidents and ensure communication with all business or technical entities involved in solving them;
• Ensure follow-up of patching and maintenance activities (both during work schedule and outside of them), according to the plans;
• Act as a single point of contact for major changes and our-of-hours support for maintenance entities from Erste Group;
• Register incidents raised through various communication channels or identified through monitoring alerts, classify and assign incidents posted on the internal IT Outages portal;
• Follow incident evolution according to the assigned competences, using existing know-how;
• Ensure follow-up process / initiation for incident report completion to identify the root cause of critical incidents, resolve and prevent the subsequent occurrence of similar incidents, cooperating with responsible IT areas;
• Inform business partners about the existence and status of solving major ongoing incidents.

What will help you be successful

• Bachelor degree – preferably technical
• Strong knowledge of the banking activity, legal and internal regulations specific to the industry;
• Average technical knowledge in the fields of IT infrastructure administration, networks and communications, IT security, central servers and related operating systems, databases, middleware and IT applications. Plus: experience with systems used in IT security operation: SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewall, web application firewall, DLP, DoS/DdoS, Antivirus, Antimalware;
• Knowledge of rules and regulations specific to IT and financial banking industries;
• Experience with monitoring policies and procedures, IT incident management, maintaining and improving technical documentation specific to monitoring activities;
• English – medium level.
