How you will contribute


  • Cooperate with the Research team in elaborating macroeconomic reports and presentations published by Erste Group Research: https://www.erstegroup.com/en/research;
  • Perform macroeconomic analysis using both qualitative and quantitative methods;
  • Collect data, organizes and maintains updated the databases used for macroeconomic research;
  • Contribute to Research Department reports and presentations to external and internal clients, investors, analysts, official institutions and rating agencies;
  • You are directly involved in the macroeconomic, financial markets and banking sector forecasting process;
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, update and improvement of macroeconomic, financial analysis and forecasting models used in BCR Research Department and Erste Group;
  • Sector analysis and reports on the Romanian economy to identify major trends;
  • Banking market forecasts for lending, deposits and other major balance sheet items, with the support of the client facing business lines within BCR;
  • Perform econometric analysis on designated topics;
  • Conduct or contribute to economic research projects that are within BCR or Erste Group’s areas of interest.

 

What will help you be successful

  • Degree / Enrolment in MSc program in either of the following fields: Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Statistics, Quantitative Methods;
  • CFA program enrollment is a plus;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Mastering of an econometrics or statistics software package (e.g. E-views or R ) is a plus;
  • Programming skills could also be an advantage;
  • Experience in economic research, financial modeling, valuation methods or economic (mainly model based) forecasting is a plus;
  • Soft skills we are looking for: team player, good presentation skills, proactive attitude, highest degree of ethical and professional conduct, ability to adapt and learn quickly, to work under pressure, understand and explain complex issues.
