How you will contribute
- You will propose strategies for assigned cases and monitor the progress of the assigned portfolio of special litigation matters (high-value or high-impact disputes) at the BCR Group level, drafting procedural documents and proposing necessary measures to mitigate the bank’s litigation risk;
- You will monitor the progress of the litigation portfolio, conduct analyses, and develop forecasts and recommendations to ensure the best possible management of the BCR Group’s litigation portfolio;
- Prepare reports related to the BCR Group’s dispute resolution activities;
- Represent the bank in court in special disputes or other related litigation, to the extent that this is not handled by outside counsel;
- Represent the bank before courts, criminal investigation authorities, public authorities, institutions of any kind, as well as any legal or natural persons, Romanian or foreign (with the exception of insolvency proceedings), in other disputes in accordance with instructions received from the Coordinator;
- Provide legal advice and issue legal opinions and solutions regarding disputes or issues with a risk of litigation;
- Be responsible for completing assignments on time and taking all necessary steps to resolve the disputes under your management and the assigned tasks.
What will help you be successful
- A law degree—required;
- Professional experience in litigation—at least 5 years, including at least 1 year in banking;
- Knowledge of legal regulations in the banking sector, as well as in other areas of law, judicial practice, and specialized literature;
- Experience in reporting – a plus;
- English – advanced level;
- Adaptability, change management;
- Ability to prioritize and work under deadlines;
- Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, mediation, and public speaking skills;
- Proficiency in using digital tools and artificial intelligence solutions for research, analysis, drafting, and optimizing legal work;
- Attention to detail, analytical and synthesis skills.
