How you will contribute

As a Legal Adviser in the Corporate & Micro Business Consulting Office, you will provide legal assistance for:

Products and Services

• Approving, reviewing, documenting and granting banking products and services dedicated to corporate and micro clients (e.g., current accounts, deposits, cash management, card operations, loans);
• Verifying and negotiating bilateral loans granted by the bank to corporate and micro clients;
• Verifying the title deeds for properties used as collateral and issuing a legality opinion;
• Checking corporate documents of financing participants, assessing their contracting and representation capacity;
• Participating in syndicated loan transactions, including negotiating financing documentation;
• Identifying legal risks associated with a product/service and providing solutions to mitigate or eliminate them;
• Drafting, updating, approving, and negotiating documentation related to banking products and services for corporate and micro clients (standard contract templates and other standard legal documents).

Restructuring and Recovery

• Restructuring the bank's exposures and defining the legal recovery strategy for corporate and micro clients, including negotiating related documentation, and participating in transactions involving the sale of guarantees or (portfolios of) receivables.

Internal Regulations

• Reviewing and approving the bank's internal regulations from a legal perspective.

External Lawyers Collaboration

• Coordinating external lawyers providing consultancy to the bank on various projects, negotiating legal assistance contracts, and reviewing their issued opinions.

What will help you be successful

• Law school graduate, a true and visible passion for law;
• Knowledge of civil / commercial / restructuring & insolvency legislation; knowledge of specific banking legislation will be a plus;
• At least 5 years of experience in a financial institution or in banking & finance department of a law firm - is a must;
• Ability to think independently, to do your own research, to ask questions, to plan and prioritize your work;
• Strong interpersonal skills (written and oral communication, structuring information);
• English proficiency level;
• Open-mindedness, integrity, teamwork, critical thinking, adaptability, willingness to learn.
