Your Role

You will be part of the Treasury Audit team covering the following topics: Securities Trading (MiFID II), Interbank Trading, Custody & Depository services, Investment Banking, Assets and Liabilities Management, Securities Compliance, Market Risk and Liquidity Risk Management.

How you will contribute

• Establishes relationships with internal stakeholders to assess their expectations; organizes and coordinates meetings with the auditee, including the opening and closing meetings for audit engagements;
• Based on these expectations and the risk assessment of the audit engagement (with the support of team members), formally documents the audit scope and agrees upon it with the audited entity;
• Coordinates and organizes internal audit engagements;
• Is responsible for completing and issuing reports in accordance with the annual audit plan, and for their subsequent archiving;
• Reviews all reports sent to the audited entity (draft reports formally/informally, and the final report formally by completing a checklist);
• Formally reviews and evaluates the work documented by other team members within the audit file management software;
• Participates in reconciliations, various meetings, and committees; offers advice and recommendations for understanding banking concepts, long-term strategy;
• Assesses the satisfaction level of internal stakeholders and defines the necessary changes for its improvement;
• Formulates proposals regarding the definition and adaptation of audit standards;
• Provides professional support and organizes coaching sessions for team members;
• Performs any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor, provided they comply with the legal provisions in force.

What will help you be successful

• University degree in Economics, Law, Technical fields, or a related discipline;
• Member of a relevant professional organization is a plus (or in the process of obtaining the qualification), such as: CAFR (Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or CISA (Certified Information System Auditor);
• Minimum 5 years’ overall professional experience;
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in audit activities;
• In-depth knowledge of banking operations;
• Economic and financial knowledge (IFRS);
• Audit knowledge (International Standards on Auditing, International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing);
• Control and monitoring techniques;
• IT knowledge - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access - database processing capability, documentation, synthesis, preparation of presentations); Familiarity with working on processes that involve large volumes of data;
• Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken).
