Key Responsibilities

• • Strategic planning – drive the annual budgeting process, long-term strategic plans, and financial forecasts to align with the bank’s objectives
  • Management reporting – provide clear and timely reports to the Board of Directors and senior management
  • Business partnership – collaborate with business lines to deliver analytical insights and ensure financial strategies support the overall company objectives
  • Investor communication – share key information with external investors in coordination with Erste Group’s Investor Relations team
  • Investment decisions – participate in preparing and evaluating investment business cases and Board-level decisions
  • Operational efficiency – propose, champion, and implement measures to increase revenues and optimize costs
  • People leadership – inspire, develop, and manage a team of about 50 experts, including direct leadership of up to 10 managers
  • Group reporting – communicate, explain, and defend financial results and budgets within the Erste Group

What We’re Looking For

• University degree in economics, finance, or a related field
• At least 10 years’ experience in controlling, finance, or investment banking, including proven senior leadership experience
• Outstanding presentation and analytical skills, with the confidence to engage the Board and Supervisory Board
• Excellent command of English, especially for investor communication and high-level presentations
• Deep understanding of how a large, complex banking organization and its financial processes work
• Strong leadership qualities and a track record of motivating and developing teams
