Investment Analyst Private Markets

Role Summary

The Investment Analyst in Private Markets team supports the bank’s investments into private markets funds across multiple asset classes (private equity, venture capital, private credit, venture debt) and direct co-investments. The role focuses on due diligence, market research, portfolio monitoring, and preparation of internal decision materials to support disciplined capital allocation and long-term portfolio construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Support screening and evaluation of fund managers across private equity, venture capital, private credit, venture debt, and direct co-investments.
• Participate in fund due diligence processes including track-record analysis, team assessment, investment strategy and execution review, and fund documentation review.
• Prepare investment recommendation materials for internal committees.
• Assist in comparative analysis of managers and strategies to support portfolio construction discussions.
• Monitoring of the bank’s investment portfolio (quarterly reports feed-in to internal systems and their assessment).
• Update internal databases and tools with fund performance, commitments, market values, and cash flows.
• Market research activities (e.g., creation of local private markets landscape dataset and visual representations, monitoring of local and global private market, and relevant macroeconomic and industry developments).
• Creation and maintenance of private markets knowledge base.
• Collaborate with legal, risk, compliance, and operations colleagues during onboarding and monitoring of fund managers.
• Ad-hoc time/task allocation as required by team priorities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, engineering, or another analytical discipline.
• Initial experience in asset management, corporate finance, private equity, venture capital, consulting, banking, or audit is an advantage, not a must.
• Good proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Czech and English (written and spoken).
• Curious, proactive mindset with strong motivation to learn and develop expertise in private markets.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage tasks effectively in a dynamic team environment.
