We are looking for a visionary leader to drive the strategic evolution of our People Services and actively shape the future of HR across the Group. This is your stage to create real impact. 

As Managing Director People Services, you will take full responsibility for our HR service organization – from payroll and HR administration to service excellence and process optimization. 

You will define the strategic direction, strengthen Group-wide collaboration, and ensure that our People Services consistently deliver value. In short: you will lead an organization that sets the pace for HR performance across the Erste Group. 

Your Tasks

  • Shape and execute the People Services strategy in line with the overall vision of Erste Group. 
  • Lead significant transformation and digitalization projects to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of HR innovation. 
  • Design and implement robust, future-ready HR structures, processes, and governance frameworks. 
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for a large, multidisciplinary HR service organization, fostering an environment focused on high performance, service excellence, and collaboration. 
  • Empower, mentor, and develop leaders and talents within the organization to build a strong pipeline for future growth. 
  • Oversee the delivery of efficient and compliant HR core processes, including payroll, HR administration, systems, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators, quality standards, and reporting structures to ensure service excellence and transparency. 
  • Drive the continuous improvement of HR service delivery through automation, self-service solutions, and enhanced data quality as well as cost-efficiency. 
  • Engage closely with HR leadership across Erste Group to ensure alignment and effective collaboration. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and board members on all HR service matters. 
  • Take ownership of budget management, resource planning, and economic steering for the HR service organization. 

Your Profile

We are seeking an experienced senior HR leader with a proven track record in leading complex HR service organizations at scale. 

  • Extensive senior leadership experience in Human Resources, preferably within Shared Services, HR Operations, Payroll or People Services environments 
  • Demonstrated expertise in HR processes, digital transformation, payroll and organizational change management 
  • Exceptional strategic acumen paired with strong operational leadership and execution capabilities 
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills and a demonstrated ability to advance and develop large-scale organizations 
  • Superior communication, decisive decision-making, and inspirational leadership qualities 
  • Experience working within regulated industries or large corporate settings is considered an asset

  • This role offers an annual gross salary starting at EUR 150,000. The final compensation will be determined individually, based on your skills and professional background.
