The Event Manager is responsible for providing professional management for all employee and management events in the Corporate Communications function. The role establishes proper project management (deadlines, deliverables, budget overview, supplier management) to ensure top quality events delivered in time. This also includes quality assurance by implementing measures such as mandatory dry-runs, event scripts and other standardized event preparation processes.
The Event Manager keeps track of different formats, supports the enhancement of existing formats and the development of new engaging concepts. Besides, the person is in the lead for cataloguing standard procedures for these formats. The function acts as liaison manager towards suppliers both external (e.g. agencies) as well as internal (EBR) to ensure smooth operational implementation of the events.
This position is limited for a period of 12 months.
Your Tasks
- Event Organization:
- Central project management responsibility for events
- Defining and advising on deadlines, deliverables & responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth and successful delivery of events
- Plan & execute milestones and safety measures (e.g., dry-runs, ...)
- Supplier Network:
- Advise team on location, suppliers, technical gear, etc. – provide new options
- Liaise with both internal and external suppliers
- Format Development and Enhancement:
- Be aware of latest event trends, technical possibilities & state-of-the-art event solutions
- Keep an eye on and advise the project team on creating a high-quality event experience for attendees
- Senior Stakeholder & Event Coordination Support:
- Liaise with senior management and their executive assistants to coordinate high-stakes internal and external events
- Ensure seamless planning, stakeholder alignment, and execution of strategic engagements.
- Act as a key point of contact between senior leaders, internal teams and external partners
- Support scheduling, logistics, briefing preparation and follow-up activities
- Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
- Standard Procedures and Handbooks:
- Compile standard handbooks and project guidelines for recurring events (e.g., MIM)
- Compile a comparative overview on existing event formats in terms of audience, objectives, and content
- Additionally, you are responsible for the following tasks:
- Budget Management, Marketing & Promotion, Post-Event Analysis & Compliance & Risk Managemen
Your Background
- FH/University degree (Event management, Tourism, Arts and Culture, Communication, Digital Communication, Business Administrations or similar)
- At least 3 years of experience in Event Management (in either an agency or in corporate environment)
- Excellent Project Management skills
- Strong negotiation skills when working with vendors and suppliers
- Experience working with senior executives and managing sensitive or high-profile interactions
- Understanding of internal and external stakeholder management
- A strong understanding of event formats and experience in developing new formats
- Strong Brand Management, Communication and Presentation skills
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build effective working relationships across functions
- Fluency in German and English; proficiency in any CEE language is a plus

- The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 46.276,58 gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person!
