Group Enterprise-wide Risk Management (ERM) function has been established to enable an increased focus on holistic risk management and provide comprehensive, cross-risk oversight to further enhance group-wide risk portfolio steering.
Credit Risk Calculations department is responsible for the Group-wide governance of Credit risk weighted assets (cRWA), Risk Costs (RC), Credit Loss Allowances (CLA) and NPE backstop according to the relevant regulatory standards.
This includes central calculation (including forward looking parts) well as monitoring and management of respective metrices for Holding, EBOe/EBOe subsidiaries and Savingsbanks.
Your Tasks:
- Analyse and validate the calculation of group credit Risk Weighted Assets (cRWA), Credit Loss Allowances (CLA), NPE backstop and Risk Costs to ensure compliance with CRR3/Basel IV and IFRS 9
- Support the Risk Cost and credit RWA control function across Erste Group by preparing analyses that help teams understand drivers and movements in key risk figures
- Work with data from different sources, check its consistency and contribute to transparent, traceable documentation that others can rely on
- Take part in different projects, where you see how regulatory changes or new methodologies turn into concrete processes
- Support the team with ad-hoc analyses and requests, helping decision-makers get clear answers when they need them
- Collaborate with colleagues across countries and functions, learning how credit risk is managed in a diverse international environment
Your Background:
- Ongoing studies at a university or university of applied sciences, with a focus on mathematics, statistics, economics
- A strong interest in data, numbers and how models and regulations are applied in real-life banking.
- Confidence in working with IT tools and data, including advanced MS Excel, Word, Power Point skills and practical knowledge of SQL
- Attention to detail and enjoyment in checking, validating and understanding complex calculations
- Openness and comfort working with people from different cultural backgrounds, with clear and respectful communication in an international setting.
- A team-oriented, hands-on mindset combined with curiosity, willingness to learn and the motivation to grow through an internship role
