Being a Scrum Master Intern at George opens unlimited opportunities to learn, experiment, inspect and adapt. Our proficient Scrum Masters will be your guides and mentors, while challenging your perspectives and ideas. You will experience first hand what it takes to create successful teams with strong skills in self-organisation and a drive for continuous improvement. By observing the various roles of a Scrum Master – a facilitator and coach, a conflict navigator and mentor, a teacher, and quite possibly, a tap-dancer – you’ll gain all the necessary skills to step into these shoes yourself!
What to do:
- Act as an active member on a scrum team, engaging in daily responsibilities
- Assist the Scrum Master in orchestrating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Acquire and apply skills commonly used in an agile delivery environment, with a focus on sprint ceremonies
- Collaborate with the team to streamline processes and effectively address impediments and challenges
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the team's agile practices
- Interact with team members across various disciplines, promoting a positive and productive team environment
- Collaborate with the Agile Manager on clusterwide and cross-team topics
- Support the Product Owner in backlog creation and maintenance
- Contribute to the Scrum Master Chapter, addressing organizational-level topics
- Aim to leave a lasting positive impact within our organization
You check these boxes:
- You are studying at a university / university of applied sciences, ideally pursuing a degree in Science or IT
- Ideally, you already experienced the power of Scrum at school/university. Knowing the theory, you are eager to apply Scrum in real life with real teams.
- You are familiar with other Agile methodologies and practices (Kanban, Lean, TDD, DevOps etc.)
- You are competent when it comes to communication and interpersonal interactions
- You are enthusiastic about learning and actively contributing within a collaborative team environment
- You are ready to step beyond your comfort zone and assume responsibility
- You are able to express your values and opinions in fluent English
