Group Controlling is a department in EG’s Group Performance Management division and performs the full scope of activities connected with performance and cost management on total group level. Next to total group and individual segment profitability reporting, Group Controlling performs a variety of financial planning related activities and serves as a central point of contact for the Controlling units in Erste Group’s international franchises. The department also strongly collaborates with other central steering functions such as Strategy, Risk, Asset and Liability Management as well as Capital Management.

Your Tasks

  • Run and maintain reports in the relevant Controlling/Accounting systems (e.g. Tagetik) and databases (e.g. Databricks) using tools such as Tableau, XLCubed, etc.
  • Support colleagues in the preparation of management and business presentations on various topics 
  • Analyze specific business portfolios and datasets and comment on them
  • Support with ad-hoc analyses on cost or income topics

Your Background

  • Ongoing studies at University/University of Applied Sciences with a background in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Controlling or Business Informatics
  • You possess very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, know running SQLs/VBA statements and have experience with any of the above mentioned reporting tools as well as in the professional world of AI (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.)
  • You are familiar with the “world of banking and financial markets” and have a good understanding of Accounting and Controlling
  • You are able to fluently communicate in English as you will be working in an international team; German and/or a CEE language is an advantage
