Group Balance Sheet Management is responsible for the overall Liquidity Management, Interest Rate positioning, Banking Book bond investments and the Capital position of the overall Erste Group with a total balance sheet of around €460bn. The specific areas of focus are:

  • Liquidity management, including liquidity ratio compliance, active monitoring and management of liquidity, Fund Transfer Pricing and steering of wholesale market issuance
  • Banking book investments, with a portfolio of over €90bn across the group
  • Interest rate analytic, steering and active management including behavioural model analysis and interest rate hedging activities
  • Capital management (including optimization activities) and Resolution and Recovery strategy
  • Covered bond and securitization analytics and reporting and hedge accounting

Your Tasks

  • Supporting the team in regulatory, management and transaction-related reports
  • Working with and analysing financial data
  • Collaborating with different entities and/or functions across Erste Group
  • Maintaining and further developing analytical tools, reports and data solutions
  • Supporting ongoing projects and process improvements, including opportunities for automation and digitalisation

Your Background

  • Ongoing studies at FH/University, preferably in banking, finance, business law, economics, business informatics, mathematics, statistics, data science or a comparable field
  • Basic knowledge and/or interest in Asset & Liability Management, banking & financial markets and securitization are an advantage
  • Solid analytical skills with the ambition and capability to establish new know how and learn constantly
  • You are fluent in German and/or English
  • IT-skills: excellent MS-Office skills as must, basic knowledge in SQL appreciated
  • As this job advertisement is valid for more than one position, depending on the concrete position a more or less technical background and skillset can be relevant (e.g. SAS enterprise guide or C#.net or Databricks)
