Group Regulatory Compliance is responsible for steering regulatory compliance risks acc. to § 39 Abs. 6 BWG. The unit regularly monitors compliance risks in Erste Group’s processes using internal and external control frameworks. Regulatory compliance risks are regularly assessed in a holistic risk assessment and reported to both internal management and external stakeholders. When necessary, – the unit initiates and tracks mitigation measures to ensure a prudent management of compliance risks.
As part of the Regulatory Compliance Function, you want to develop and grow your regulatory, legal and/or compliance knowledge and contribute to a great team of experts to form a future-fit compliance function of Erste Group and its subsidiaries.
In specific your tasks include
- Monitoring relevant banking regulation, assessing the applicability to Erste Group, supporting the bank-internal gapping process, and tracking the implementation within the bank
- Supporting the monitoring of compliance risks in close collaboration with our Regulatory Compliance experts
- Assessing and driving further usage and implementation of technology in the area of relevant reg-tech
- Contributing to the preparation of management reports and conducting the bank’s risk assessment
- Supporting future updates of group standards through policies and other guidelines
Your Background
- University degree in law or business
- You are highly interested in banking and banking regulation (CRR/CRD, BWG and related guidelines) and related topics (i.a. Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Own Funds Requirements, Disclosures, Regulatory Reporting, ICAAP/ILAAP/SREP) and in assessing their impact on Erste Group
- Previous industry experience in compliance, risk management or related areas would be an advantage
- We highly welcome previous experience in working with SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, Power BI and Power Automate
- Fluent in English and German (any CEE language would be an advantage)

- The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 42.944,-- gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person!
