Group Payments Operations & Clearing operates Erste Group’s payment hub infrastructure, ensures smooth SEPA and international clearing & settlement, manages relationships with clearing houses and providers, and represents Erste Group in national and international payments bodies. As part of Daily Banking Services, we continuously digitalize and improve end to end payment processes to deliver seamless, fast and compliant services for our customers.

As a Payment Process Owner, you will be responsible for SEPA and foreign currency account to account payment processes. You drive improvements, ensure documentation and operational control, act as a competence center for payments and investigations.

In addition, if demonstrate skills and competence, you will be assigned with Product Owner / Solutioning responsibilities, leading change initiatives and payments related projects (agile & classic), coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and helping shape the future of our payments landscape.

Your Tasks

• Own and improve SEPA & FX A2A payment processes end to end
• Ensure process documentation, operational controls, compliance and operational excellence
• Monitor regulatory changes, market standards and payment industry trends
• Act as Product Owner in agile projects within the Payments Tribe
• Support “change the bank” initiatives and contribute to new product/service development, communicate with business, product management, IT, operations and external partners (AT & CEE)

Your Background

• Advanced knowledge of SEPA & international A2A payments, clearing & settlement
• Solid understanding of banking operations, process management & documentation
• Ability to interpret regulatory & market requirements
• Practical experience with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, Value Stream)
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving mindset
• Very good communication skills; ability to drive decisions
• Team oriented, proactive and able to work in a complex, cross functional environment
• Experience in stakeholder management (internal & external)

• The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 44.860,-- gross per year. But this is just a formality - we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person!
