In the Data Management & Monitoring team, you join the central hub for all credit risk relevant data across Erste Bank and Erste Group. We deliver and enhance the data foundation used for IRB and IFRS9 models – driving smarter decisions and modern credit risk management.

Your Tasks

  • Take ownership of structuring and clarifying complex business, regulatory, and modelling requirements, ensuring quality, consistency, and traceability across the delivery lifecycle 
  • Shape and maintain high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria in JIRA, actively supporting backlog structuring, prioritization, and refinement 
  • Ensure implemented requirements are thoroughly tested, transparent, and well-documented in Confluence, with a strong focus on auditability, reuse, and long-term maintainability 
  • Contribute to the ongoing customization and evolution of a Databricks-based platform, aligning data preparation and platform services with Agile ways of working and governance standards 
  • Serve as a strong coordinating force across stakeholders, combining collaboration with assertiveness to drive decisions, enforce priorities, and move topics forward in complex and evolving settings.

Your Background

  • Academic degree in Business Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field, ideally complemented by a certification in Business Analysis or Requirements Engineering (e.g. IIBA, IREB/CPRE or comparable) 
  • Several years of hands-on experience in Business Analysis, Business Intelligence, or a similar role within the financial services environment 
  • Strong practical understanding of credit risk processes and relevant regulatory and data management frameworks, including Basel, IFRS 9, BCBS 239, and data governance principles 
  • High technology affinity with proven experience working on modern data and analytics platforms, ideally Databricks, and using Python and SQL to support data-driven use cases  
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment, using JIRA and Confluence as daily tools, and demonstrating the ability to stay structured and resilient while confidently challenging stakeholders, driving quality standards, and pushing topics through complex and evolving settings.
